Continuing the arc of 1980s Communism, Fail-Safe finds our Legends up against Valentina Vostok as she looks to create a Soviet version of Firestorm. As Rip Hunter shows us, if this comes to pass, then the present-day (as in 2016) is in complete chaos as multiple Firestorms fill the air, unleashing flames onto those below them. Key to all of this is Martin Stein, with him held captive by Vostok and Vandal Savage as they look to get the vital information out of him that will allow them to create their own Nuclear Men. And then, of course, theres Ray Palmer and Mick Rory, two of our Legends team who are also holed up under Vostok and Savages orders. With White Canary, Captain Cold and Rip Hunter on a mission to save their fellow team members, it soon becomes apparent that Sara Lance may have to do whatever is necessary to stop Vostok from obtaining the information that is in Steins head. If they can rescue Professor Stein, great. If not, well, thats not so great for Stein for it involves a bullet going into his skull. All in all, this was another episode full of shocks, surprises and straight-up random moments, and heres the very best of those WTF happenings.
17. Cisco!
Welcome to Legends of Tomorrow, Cisco Ramon. In a huge surprise right out of the gate, we were given the ever-awesome Cisco stepping over into the Legends show. But wait a moment, something seems off. As Martin Stein soon realises, this Cisco has his hair tied up neatly, is dressed smartly, and is respectful in his dialogue. All of this doesnt add up, and its soon revealed that this is all really just a hallucination and that, rather than being in S.T.A.R. Labs, Stein is actually still locked up and talking to Valentina Vostok.
