Winter is here, and The Great War is almost upon us. In just five weeks, after what's felt, at times, like a wait with no end in sight, Game of Thrones will return to our screens for its seventh and penultimate season.

Over a year after the explosive Season 6 finale, The Winds of Winter, we'll finally get to see just what happens when Daenerys makes it to Westeros, Jon goes by the title of King in the North, and Cersei Lannister rules the Seven Kingdoms.

Even after the trailer there's still so much we don't know about the new season, with little given away in terms of plot and various characters - Bran, Sam, Bronn, Hot Pie(!) etc - still not yet seen.

It did give us a few clues, though, and as the series draws towards its final endgame and storylines converge, we can make a few confident predictions on what's going to happen in Season 7.

By the show's very nature such guesswork is often folly, but based on where Season 6 left off, what hints are in the trailer, and where the story needs to be headed, we can be (almost) certain in seeing a number of (presumably awesome/shocking/devastating) things happen.
