The very first scene of Game of Thrones teased the war between the living and the dead. Now, eight years, 69 episodes, and countless deaths later, that war - the Great War - is here.

The dead have arrived at Winterfell's gates, and it's time for those inside to fight them. Stark, Lannister, Baratheon, Targaryen, the wheel no longer matters. All of that has to be put on one side, former enemies need to band together, because this is literally a matter of life and death, and it is going to be EPIC.

The Battle of Winterfell has been teased for a long time now in the build-up to Season 8. We know it's going to be directed by Miguel Sapochnik, the man behind Hardhome and Battle of the Bastards. We know it took 55 consecutive nights to shoot outside, and filming continued in the studio for weeks afterwards. We know it's going to be the biggest battle sequence we've ever seen. But we don't know what's going to happen.

Coming off the back of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, it feels like very few characters are safe. It feels like very little could go to plan. All Seven Hells will break loose. That means there's plenty of uncertainty, and plenty of reason to be concerned, heading into Season 8 Episode 3, but we can make some guesses.

So, what's going to happen at the biggest battle in Game Of Thrones EVER?
