Lego Star Wars Returns With A Yoda Mini Series

Cartoon Network have announced that they are set to air a new Lego Star Wars animated mini series. The good news is, it's the return of what so far has been a charming run of Lego Star Wars specials, the bad news is that it's only three episodes. Following on from the Lego Star Wars animated outings, The Padawan Menace and The Empire Strikes Out, the new specials are named, 'The Yoda Chronicles' and features everyone's favourite master Jedi. The press release goes something like this:
LEGO Star Wars returns in epic style with THE YODA CHRONICLES, a thrilling, funny and action-packed new LEGO Star Wars story told in three animated TV specials! Set in the €œPrequel€ Star Wars timeline, THE YODA CHRONICLES stars the one and only Yoda€”the Jedi Master who has seen it all, done it all, and taught generations of Jedi Knights€”in an all-new adventure. With the help of a fresh class of Padawans, Yoda leads the Jedi in a desperate fight to stop Darth Sidious and his minions from creating a new super-weapon that could crush the Republic and win the war for the forces of Evil.
I have to say I love the style of these specials so far. I found the previous instalments cute, funny and a refreshing parody of the Star Wars Galaxy. The kid friendly gags were a nice approach and the visuals of the Lego bricks come to life in full HD were really quite stunning. The Lego take on Darth Maul was a real highlight I have to say and him singing "I'm Awesome, I'm so... awesome!" to the Duel of Fates music is quite simply genius and I probably laughed more at that that I did at all of the Family Guy and Robot Chicken Star Wars specials combined. Here's a link to the 'awesome' clip and here's hoping the Yoda Chronicles turn out some more choice moments like this one.
