Netflix are notoriously secretive when it comes to ratings for their show, generally refusing to reveal just how many people watch any given original series.

They have, however, opened that door just a crack recently, and announced the list of the most 'binge-raced' shows. The term relates to watching any entire season within 24 hours of it hitting Netflix, and the top 20 has been announced.

A few of them are what you'd expect, with big hitters House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, and Stranger Things all making the list. Others, meanwhile, speak to the unstoppable power of nostalgia, such as Fuller House and Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life (and Stranger Things kind of fits in there too). A few, though, are more wholly surprising, like Chewing Gum or Atypical.

This doesn't, however, reflect upon quality. For a start, it's not a true representation of the best shows on Netflix, since, well, BoJack Horseman is missing. Sometimes a show is binged because it's great, yes, but others it's down to the huge amount they've been hyped, coming at the right time, or people racing through to avoid spoilers. A lot of people have spent a weekend racing through these series, but which ones were worth it, and which were a waste of a weekend?
