Ryan Murphy's newest Netflix show has arrived, but is it an A-Lister?
The creative mind of Ryan Murphy was given a brand new platform to entertain audiences with his unique and memorable programming when he inked that lucrative deal with the world's biggest streaming service.
We are, of course, talking about Netflix. And hot off the heels of his first venture with the streaming platform, The Politician - which received a second season renewal - the mastermind behind Glee and American Horror Story has offered up the much-anticipated Hollywood.
A glitzy, glamorous alt-history piece set in the city of dreams, the show features an impressive ensemble of established veterans, Murphy regulars and some of the most promising young talent in the real Hollywood today.
Hollywood toys with interesting and admirable ideas, executing them well for the most part, but that isn't always able to prevent it from falling into some of the same boisterous pitfalls of some of Murphy's previous shows. That said, there is some substance to its style, and even though it falters on its way to the top, the aforementioned cast ensure it gets there in the end.
