After the stunningly moody full trailer for season 2 of Daredevil broke a few days ago, it was a foregone conclusion that we'd start to see more and more of what the sophomore effort has in store for us. Its March release date is right around the corner (less than a month!), and today we've been gifted another gritty, angst-y teaser, which shows DD chained to a chimney - no doubt by Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal). It's a little odd though - you'd think this brief teaser would have come before the release of the big trailer, but either way - here it is, in all its 14-second glory.Eagle-eyed, attention-paying fans of the comics will probably notice that this scene - also featured in the main trailer - very closely evokes a similar set-up from the comics, where the Punisher has Daredevil chained up exactly like that. In that sequence, Punisher essentially forces Daredevil into making a bad decision, which I won't ruin here for fear of the exact same turn of events occurring on the show. The second series of Netflix and Marvel's breakout collaboration is probably one of the most anticipated seasons of television this year, and whilst it has a lot to live up to considering the quality of the first, it likewise has a lot going for it; a perfectly-cast Punisher, an intriguing (and still fairly mysterious) rendition of Elektra, and an entire 13 episodes of DD (finally) suited up. What more do you want? Daredevil Season 2 hits Netflix on 18th March.
