New Sarah Michelle Gellar Show RINGER Dumped On Sky Living

Sky Living have just announced the acquisition of the 'thrilling' and 'fast-paced' US drama/thriller Ringer in an exclusive multiple season contract deal with CBS Studios International. Starring Sarah Michelle Gellar in her first network t.v. show since she retired the stake as Buffy The Vampire Slayer eight years ago, Ringer will debut on the CW Network in the U.S. on September 13th, before premiering in the UK 'swiftly' - i.e. probably within a week of our cross-Atlantic friends. Buffy€™s back with a duel role as two identical twin sisters in the murderous crime show from Supernatural writer-producers Eric Charmelo and Nicole Snyder. Thirteen episodes of 60 minute length have been produced for the season and we promoted some artwork that was shown at Comic-Con which carries the tagline €œThe Ultimate Double Cross€. And a trailer that was released previously;But one niggling question I have. Doesn't Sky promote the shows it has huge faith in from the States on Sky One or more recently Sky Atlantic? What's with the dumping it on Sky Living all about or am I completely out of the loop on what they show on that channel that it's now a major slot?

Sarah Michelle Gellar stars as Bridget, a woman on the run who assumes her wealthy and estranged twin sister's Siobhan€™s identity, only to discover that her sister's life is just as complicated and dangerous as the one she's trying to escape. In this edgy thriller about redemption and revenge, recovering addict Bridget is six months sober and starting to turn her life around when she is the sole witness to a professional hit. Despite the assurances of her FBI protector, Agent Victor Machado, , Bridget knows her life is on the line. She flees to New York, telling no one, not even her Narcotics Anonymous sponsor, Malcolm In New York, Bridget reunites with her estranged twin, Siobhan (also played by Gellar). Wealthy, pampered and married to the strikingly handsome Andrew Martin , Siobhan lives what appears to be a fairy tale life - a life where no one knows that Bridget exists. The sisters seem to be mending their frayed relationship, until Siobhan disappears mysteriously, and Bridget makes the split second decision to take on her sister's identity. She discovers shocking secrets, not only about her sister and her marriage, but also about Siobhan's best friend, Gemma , and Gemma's husband, Henry . But when an attempt is made on her life, Bridget discovers that living as Siobhan is no less dangerous than the old life she is trying to escape.
