Could you imagine The Big Bang Theory without Dr Sheldon Lee Cooper, theoretical physicist and child genius? With his uncomfortable social skills and an IQ of a whopping 187 (Bazinga!), Jim Parsons's lovable creation is definitely the highlight of the show.

Born and raised in Galveston, Texas along with his older brother George and twin sister Missy, he started college at the tender age of 11, receiving his first PHD at 16.

Sheldon was, not surprisingly, bullied a lot during his childhood due to his intellectual superiority (with his 212 friends on MySpace, who€™d have thought?). However he has managed to assemble a close group of friends, which include Penny, Leonard, Raj, Howard, and Bernadette. He has even managed to bag himself a girlfriend. Go Sheldon.
