After a lot of anticipation (since it was first announced back in August, it's been quite the wait), the much-hyped musical crossover between The Flash and Supergirl finally came singing and dancing onto our screens.

Once again bringing together Grant Gustin's Barry Allen and Melissa Benoist's Kara Danvers, the episode - titled Duet - sees the super friends placed into a coma by new villain Music Meister (Darren Criss). When they're under, the world takes the shape of whatever their subconsciouses desires - naturally, of course, it's a good old-fashioned musical.

Crossover episodes in the Arrowverse usually bring a lot of fun, and in that regard this one probably topped the lot (unless you don't like musicals, that is). While it didn't reach the standard of Buffy's Once More With Feeling (though what could?) it more than delivered on the showtunes front, as well as delivering a strong episode that continued to build on threads from both series' respective seasons.

And, of course, it included a bunch of Easter eggs and references to both the comics and, as should be the case given the theme episode, the world of musical theatre. Things really are easier in musicals.
