Unsurprisingly, AMC have recommissioned zombie drama The Walking Dead for a second season, following its record-breaking premiere's ratings (5.3 million) and episode 2's healthy audience (4.7 million). Unlike the current six-part run, season 2 will see an increase in episodes to the US cable standard of 13. Charlie Collier, AMC President:
