The Walking Dead Season 6: 12 WTF Moments From 'Thank You'

They wouldn't, would they?! Oh, of course they would.

Wow! If last week's JSS was an episode dripping with bloodshed and brutality, Thank You was one of the most impactful episodes of The Walking Dead to date. In amongst that, of course, was arguably the show's most hard-hitting and shocking death so far. Yes, I'm talking about Glenn. Whilst many were predicting a Negan-splattered fate at some point for Glenn, AMC's walker show veered in a totally different direction from its comic book source material, instead having our beloved Glenn Rhee offed in a way that most likely didn't see coming. As well as Glenn's demise, Thank You gave us a look at the other side of the fence from the attack on Alexandria Safe-Zone. With Alexandria presumably still reeling from the aftermath of The Wolves attack, we find Daryl conflicted with whether to return to the homestead and help out or continue the mission of keeping the walkers away, Michonne and Heath having some serious words as they struggle to survive amongst the hordes of undead, Glenn and Nicholas' fateful hero mission, and then there's Rick Grimes, who may have a big new problem on his hands (literally). Thank You was a fantastic episode and one which featured the death of one of the show's most prized characters in amongst many a WTF moment.

12. Generic Female Fall

An escape from a group of nasty sorts in a horror-themed environment? Why, of course that requires some meek female type to fall over. Because€ because formulaic horror tropes of yesteryear. This time out it€™s Annie, a character briefly introduced in the season premiere, who falls foul of this most played-out of horror happenings. The Walking Dead is an ever-expanding show that manages to stay fresh amongst all the corpses of network television, yet it still can't help harking back to this most overused of slips.
