Previously on The Walking Dead: Tyreese discovers Karen's and David's torched bodies; Tyreese demands the life of the killer; Bob examines a bottle of wine at the Big Spot in "30 Days Without an Accident"; Hershel tells the Council about the potential medication stash at the veterinary college fifty miles away; Daryl takes a dig at Michonne for still trying to track the Governor; Tyreese tells a sick Sasha that he is going on the medicine run with Daryl; a herd of Walkers overruns the car, forcing Daryl and Co. to flee on foot into the woods; Rick asks Carol if she killed Karen and David, which Carol confirms. Now: Spoilers ahead! (For anybody who wants to skip the recap, the review is on the last page.) A Trip To The Suburbs Inside the prison, Carol visits quarantined Lizzie. They speak through a glass panel, and Carol tells Lizzie that she will be going on a supply run with Rick. Lizzie says that nobody in the quarantine has died yet, but that it will be okay when they do because those people will be able to come back. Carol reminds her that coming back as a Walker isn't really coming back, but Lizzie is adamant that the Walkers are still people. "They're just different," Lizzie insists. Carol doesn't have time to argue with Lizzie, only wanting to remind her that she must do anything to survive. "If it's your life or your sister's life, you can't be afraid to kill," says Carol flatly. I like to think that my parents gave my brothers this same talk when they were preteens. "We can talk more about this when I come back from the run," Carol adds, "which I totally will, because I'm going with my good friend Rick who would never ever abandon me under any circumstances." Lizzie shows Carol her knife and accidentally calls her "Mom." Carol snaps that Lizzie must never call her that, but she calms enough to tell Lizzie to not be afraid. "You fight ," she says, "and you don't give up. And then one day, you just...change. We all change." Okay, I'm going to come out and say it: I don't hope that Carol will die, but if she does, I so want Lizzie to be the one to kill her.
