WandaVision: 10 Burning Questions After Episodes 1 & 2

WandaVision - the MCU's first Disney+ series - has left Marvel fans with A LOT of questions...

It's been a long time coming, but for the first time since Spider-Man: Far From Home in July 2019, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is here! Opening the Disney+ corner of the franchise, the first two episodes of WandaVision have dropped and as promised, are completely bizarre.

Based in the fictional town of Westview in a 1950s sitcom setting (at least in the first episode), both Wanda and Vision struggle to adapt to life as two powered beings in a small, unassuming community. Through an evening with Vision's boss, and a neighbourhood talent show, there have only been hints of what is really going on in the series.

Going into it with limited knowledge of what exactly to expect, fans already had plenty of questions about the show. The debut of WandaVision was thought to answer at least some of these, however the first two entries in the series have simply left fans with more queries than before.

These will of course all likely be answered in time, but with the episodes releasing weekly, preventing anyone from binging the show, fans are already dying to know what will be revealed over the coming few weeks.

10. How Are SWORD Watching & Interacting With Wanda?

Throughout the first two episodes of WandaVision, the presence of SWORD has been confirmed multiple times. At the end of episode one there is a SWORD agent shown to be watching the sitcom itself on TV, with the logo being seen again in episode two on the remote control helicopter and the back of the beekeeper's uniform.

SWORD (Sentient World Observation and Response Department) is essentially an extra-terrestrial counterpart to SHIELD, and was hinted at being established by Nick Fury in the Spider-Man: Far From Home post credit scene.

Clearly, the agency has been brought in to help sort out Wanda's situation, and Jimmy Woo's messages over the radio seemingly confirm that he is trying to help her, but how exactly are they getting through to her?

Where did the helicopter come from, and how come Wanda was able to see it in colour? How did SWORD get a man inside Westview? How is someone able to watch the alternative reality play out on a TV screen? Just how much power and tech do SWORD have at their disposal?
