WandaVision EXPLAINED: What Do The Post-Credits Scenes Really Mean?
Phase 5's big opener comes with an audible secret.
The MCU has made a tradition out of the post-credits scene at this point, but rarely do they do TWO in one story. I mean it's happened, but only when it's extremely important. And as you can probably surmise, the two post credits scenes for Wandavision are VERY important to the MCU going forward.
Starting off with the first one, because it's the easiest to sum up, we have Monica being contacted by a Skrull, who wants her to come with her up into space, presumably as setup for either Captain Marvel 2 or Thor: Love And Thunder.
Either way, we're definitely not done with Monica anytime soon.
Now onto the really juicy bit: The second post-credit scene starring Wanda.
This one has her in a log cabin in the middle of the mountains somewhere, having a morning right out of a cereal commercial, while her magic doppelganger spends all day using astral projection to look through and study the Darkhold book, hearing echoes of Billy and Tommy's voices in the background.
It's pretty obvious what's going on here, since every MCU fan theorist called it from the beginning that this was where we were heading.
Wanda is using the Darkhold - one of the most powerful magical objects in the Marvel canon - to scour the multiverse and find the family she had to give up at the end of Wandavision.
Listen close and you can also hear a slowed down version of Dr. Strange's theme too, further connecting the characters for what's to come.
It's likely this will all lead into upcoming movie "Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness", where - if those same theorists are proven right once more - Wanda will come into conflict with the Sorcerer Supreme when she tries to get her family back the hard way.
No matter how it plays out, this was one hell of a way to close out one of the MCU's most fascinating entries, and we can't wait to see what comes next.
