10 Best Win Percentages In WWE History
Undertaker, Cena, Warrior...Steiner?
To some they represent the numerical equivalent of purgatory, and to others they are perfection and happiness combined. I'm talking of course about statistics, the numbers that tell the stories that images often fail to. Love them or hate them, statistics often throw up some truly curious bits of trivia, and professional wrestling doesn't miss out here.
So who is statistically the most successful wrestler in World Wrestling Entertainment history? Qualifiers need to be put into place to even begin this discussion, so let's lay them out: We're talking purely about the percentage of an individual's matches that ended with them on the winning side of the equation.
There needs to be some longevity to it all as well, so let's put a minimum number of matches at 150. That seems fair, no? With those points in mind, here are the 10 best win percentages in WWE history.
It is important to remember, however, that a fair pinch of salt needs to be taken with this. I can only go by the records that are available, and as such the accuracy of the list might not exactly be watertight. The records do include live events as well as TV and PPV shows, so it isn't surprising that this list is full of people who made their names in WWE as babyfaces. There isn't a single heel on this list.
This list also only includes wrestlers from the WrestleMania-era onwards. Who do we find at number 10?
10. The Undertaker
The journey begins with the Deadman.
The Undertaker is World Wrestling Entertainment's longest-tenured competitor, having made his debut all the way back at the Survivor Series in 1990. 'Taker hasn't exactly been too active over the last few years, often coming back purely for one match at WrestleMania (as he did in 2011,12 and 14) and maybe one or two others here and there.
He's only lost three times since the beginning of 2011, only twice in singles competition.
As expected due to his tenure, Undertaker has wrestled more matches than any other individual on this list, although not by as many as you'd think. The records have our favourite zombie mortician down as having wrestled 2,138 matches, winning 1,657 of these.
This gives him an overall win percentage of 77.5%.
The most impressive thing about this is that Undertaker, unlike the majority of names on this list, wrestled stages of his WWE career as a heel. He has always been protected, and this statistic further suggests that fact.
