It's a good thing that the pro wrestling landscape is so vast at this stage in history because the best matches as of late have not been originating from the biggest wrestling companies. A top ten list of the best weekly bouts might be difficult if it was up to only the major players like WWE and TNA. WWE's main roster only boasts one match on this week's top ten and even more surprising is that nothing from Raw made this list. Raw is three hours long so there should be several contenders from that show on any given week, but this week there isn't. NXT was able to chart one of their matches and considering that's only a one-hour program, that's not too shabby. TNA didn't fare that well either. Their Full Metal Mayhem match was insanely good, but really their only standout match from their recent show. Everything else just seems overshadowed by Jeff Jarrett's return and the buildup to Slammiversary. The best wrestling of the past 7 days (this article's 'week' runs from the previous Friday until Thursday evening) have overwhelmingly come from the two smallest promotions covered, Ring of Honor and Lucha Underground. LU had two offerings this week from their one-hour broadcast, so they've stepped up. Ring of Honor, however, was on another level. Considering they had their Best in the World event last Friday and a ton of NJPW performers on their Destination America show on Wednesday, ROH has claimed the past week of wrestling as their own. A whopping five matches have charted with four of them in the top five. If you missed ROH then you've missed a lot. So kudos to the littler companies for still offering insanely good content. Here are the 10 best wrestling matches of the week...
