10 Booking Decisions WWE Should Make Before WrestleMania 39

Triple H has creatively rejuvenated WWE, but he awaits his biggest test on the road to WrestleMania.

2022 has been a fairly momentous year for WWE as the promotion has undergone its biggest institutional changes in almost two decades. Triple H has finally taken over the company's booking after many years of Vince McMahon's creative output, which had long been past its best.

'The Game' has immediately left his imprint on WWE since becoming Chief Content Officer, bringing back a number of wrestlers the company released throughout the pandemic and developing more logical storytelling across the promotion's many shows. A lot of time needs to pass in order to truly determine whether WWE has turned a corner creatively, as long-term booking is a more difficult thing to deliver.

Triple H's real challenge in his new position of power will come at the start of next year in the run-up to WrestleMania 39, as this is traditionally when the promotion is operating at the top of its game. Even in his latter years, Vince McMahon always managed to make the 'Grandest Stage of Them All' feel special.

Luckily for Hunter, he has a stacked roster and a number of surprises that could make the event one of the most anticipated in recent history.

10. A Seth Rollins Face Turn

There has arguably not been a more consistent wrestler in WWE's recent past than Seth Rollins, who has had a particularly stellar year. His matches against the likes of Edge, Cody Rhodes, AJ Styles, and Matt Riddle have been standout performances on each card he has appeared on.

'The Architect' seems to get more over with the audience by the week, having mastered the arrogant persona that has fans serenading him to the ring. This momentum that Rollins has built should lead to an eventual face turn that would be readily accepted by WWE viewers. It would also help Seth have a soft reboot of sorts given that he has had quite a few high-profile losses recently.

In the past, Seth Rollins as a babyface has not worked out in WWE, with his 2019 Universal Championship run being a prime example of this. Seth was maligned for comments he made online and in interviews, whilst also playing a part in cooling off the recently debuting 'Fiend' Bray Wyatt at Hell in a Cell.

However, the 'Monday Night Messiah' should fare better under the reign of Triple H, who has had a big hand in his WWE career thus far.
