The wrestling world is much like outer space; meteorites catch our attention, other things may appear dull, but often times whats best, is when stars become aligned. If it wasnt for a poorly-executed alliance storyline at the heels of Vince McMahons purchase of WCW, we probably wouldnt be kicking ourselves so much for thinking of what could have been. At one point, the WWE was holding gold with WCW in their hands. Instead, they opted to make a once-upon-a-rival look silly and to squash it, even though it was never coming back regardless. Many WCW stars havent fared well in WWE over the years, while ECWs exit was much more graceful. ECW enjoyed a brand revival under WWEs wing, which included their own pay-per-views, and eventually, a weekly show before dying out permanently. Looking back, there are many things we can wish to change, but the reality is, we have to move forward with todays fairly decent programming. Luckily though, we can remain optimistic for the future, as a handful of possible dream matches remain alive in the cards. Here they are...
