History is littered with men and women who have succeeded on the strength of one particular characteristic, but a little bit of everything is required for most.

What makes it all the more galling is that you can seem to have everything in place for stardom, only for bad booking or an intangible something to get between you and the fans. You can have all the skills in the world, but if you don’t have the fans then you are nothing.
