Its sad that this is the kind of article that we can revisit every calendar year and have trouble editing down to a manageable top ten list. Whatever else it is, WWE is the biggest wrestling promotion in the world, with the greatest production values the industry has ever seen, footholds in markets worldwide and possibly the most talented roster of performers in living memory. So why do they keep stuffing up so badly? Every year, why is there more and more ammunition for articles like this? Why are so many of WWEs long term fans frustrated viewers of Monday Night RAW instead of avid weekly watchers? Why are so many long term fans actually asking begging the company theyve devoted so much of their spare time and money to, to drop their weekly flagship television show back down from three hours to two? When has that ever happened before, that fans of a TV show want it to be shorter? Theres a good case to be made that a person, or group of people, at WWE no longer understand how to write and produce compelling pro wrestling television, and no longer know how to put together decent cards for the big events, or how to make stars. Theres a good case to be made that every time that person or persons is left at the wheel, the car begins to go off the road and into a ditch, or worse. Were not going to name names here, because it might not actually all be Vincent Kennedy McMahons fault (oops). Whatever and whoever it is, theyre still making horrible, horrible mistakes. This is the shortlist, because life is too short for the long one.
