Industry detractors can tell us till they're blue in the face that "wrestling is fake" and thus we shouldn't get worked up about it, but they just don't understand the emotion involved. They haven't invested countless hours in a star's career only to see it washed away in an instant, and they've never taken the time to realise that hey, WWE weave some pretty special stories.
It's those stories that keep fans coming back for more even when it feels like their hearts have been ripped from their chests by a specific match result.
Maybe it was watching a favourite (heel or babyface, it doesn't matter) lose that upset you, or perhaps it was a match that it turned out to be a hero's last. Whatever the case, WWE have shown they know how to book a good heartbreaker every now and then.
