So, why was he chosen for the opening quote here? Well, much like old Neil had nowt to do with WWE, these stories had sod all to do with closure.

WWE love a good mystery. If they can successfully end each broadcast with a cliffhanger or unanswered question that feeds into the following week's show, then they've done their jobs. That intrigue is part and parcel of the product, and it's a proven, winning formula that keeps fans coming back when there's an answer.
When there's not, it's frustrating and provides another reminder that the folks in charge enjoy slinging sh*t against the nearest wall to see what might stick.
