10 New Directions For WWE After Backlash 2024

The end of Judgment Day, a new Bloodline and the 'King Of Scotland' awaits WWE.

Triple H has turned main roster WWE PLEs into NXT TakeOvers of the past, and most fans are absolutely here for it. Lyon was loud for Saturday night's show, but those people had been living their best lives since SmackDown on Friday. Let's just say that France was ready for Triple H and troops.

The company didn't disappoint. Tanga Loa debuted (re-debuted if you remember his Camacho days!) as the latest member of Solo Sikoa's retooled Bloodline offshoot. It'd be a lie to say Loa got a booming response from the fans, but he'll be a crucial component in this Solo-led mutiny before Roman Reigns or The Rock returns to set things straight.

That faction still has gas then, but what of Judgment Day? Raw's top faction looks like it's falling apart, and WWE might use bickering between members to relieve Damian Priest of his hastily-won World Heavyweight Title sooner than you think. That'd be harsh, sure - it is pretty obvious which direction the writers fancy heading over summer though.

Here's where WWE's product goes next, including the not-so-small matter of crowning King and Queen Of The Ring at the end of May!

10. GreatEST Storm Ruling The Roost

Putting Jade Cargill in a tag with Bianca Belair was an inspired move by Triple H. This way, Jade gets to learn the ropes properly without the pressure of working lengthy singles bouts that expose her weaknesses. Yes, she did look lost during a few select spots at Backlash, but those wobbles didn't wreck the match.

Bianca and Jade will hold those Women's Tag-Team Titles for a while, or at least until WWE is ready to book them as opponents. You just know that's coming in the future (few tag-teams are safe from splitting, especially in the topsy turvy women's tag ranks), but everyone can breathe easy and enjoy the double act ride for now.

It'll be a fun one.

This title win also means the pair can jaunt off to Raw or NXT despite being SmackDown stars. Of course, the importance of that wholly depends on just how loyal Hunter's writers are to their own Draft. WWE has previous with that, let's be honest.
