Maybe it would have been wise to hold off on looking at potential new Raw matches until after the Superstar Shakeup was complete, because now matches like Samoa Joe vs. Bobby Roode and Asuka vs. Natalya are impossible (unless WWE go further with brand dilution and move away from definitive split rosters later in the year).

Both Joe and Asuka are brilliant new additions to SmackDown's ranks, and their arrival on Tuesdays means WWE can exploit several fresh matches to carry the brand through the remainder of 2018. Some of the show switches were also shrewd from a creative/character perspective.

Moving Jeff Hardy away from the "Woken" nonsense his brother Matt is doing over on Raw was smart. Now, Jeff can work against a cluster of exciting opponents without having to dip a toe into such madness. If the latest episode is anything to go by, then Randy Orton is one of those rivals, but we can think of at least three others we'd rather see Hardy wrestle instead.
