WWE must commit to these New Year's Resolutions for 2021. Or else...

2020 is finally over and 2021 is here. The question is this: WWE fans, should you ring bells of celebration or sound the alarm?

The new year is expected to be business as usual (or as "usual" as mid-pandemic programming and a complete lack of live events can be) for the company. Vince McMahon and troops will start off hot with the exciting Royal Rumble-WrestleMania chapter, but things could get a bit tougher after that.

Any post-'Mania slump could hit harder than ever in 2021. 2020 sneaked through relatively unscathed because everything just felt so weird, and there was a togetherness about wrestling fans. People were thankful they had something to watch and keep themselves entertained with whilst the entire world fretted and wondered what the future might hold.

WWE cannot afford to be pro wrestling's version of a January gym-goer though. They need to keep some sort of consistency throughout the next 12 months, and they must commit to certain New Year's Resolutions if things are going to progress.

Here's everything the promotion should do, and everything it should avoid, in the coming year ahead...

10. Put WrestleMania In A Unique Setting

Resolution: WrestleMania 37 will look different to every other TV show and pay-per-view produced throughout 2021.

Why: WrestleMania is the single most important show of WWE's entire year, but one wouldn't have known that watching 36. In fairness, the company were hamstrung by the newness of COVID-related panic and had to retreat into the tiny confines of their own Performance Center.

2021 can make up for that.

It's vital that WWE lease a unique venue for the special whether it takes place over multiple nights again or not. There's no reason why they shouldn't produce a more spectacular set, or tack on other production bells and whistles to make the show stand out from Raw, SmackDown and the the rest of the year's output.
