Its no secret that the WWE Monday Night Raw has come in for its fair share of flak in recent weeks. Multiple factors have contributed to many fans growing dissatisfied, with the current ratings downturn a telling testament to this. But away from the bright lights of the main roster, theres one area of the WWE that is very much alive and wellthe safe haven that is NXT. So why dont we take a page out of the New Days playbook (which is never a bad idea) and try to look on the positive side? Rather than wasting our time berating what the WWE is doing wrong, lets instead waste our time praising the company for what its doing right; and for me, NXT very much falls into that latter category. With NXT Takeover: London just days away, this article rounds up ten things to look forward to from the big event. Oh, and there may be some minor spoilers up ahead. You have been warned.
10. Sami Zayn Returns
Back in May, NXT seemingly lost its poster boy when Sami Zayn debuted on the main roster to answer John Cenas US Open Challenge. Of course, it turned out to be no more than a cameo appearance, as Zayn was back on NXT television a couple of weeks later. However, an unfortunate shoulder injury sustained during that Raw appearance would eventually rule the former NXT champion out for seven months. This time, NXT really had lost its hero. But now, in what can only be described as Christmas come early, Sami Zayn is back. Hes already wrestled at a couple of live events on NXTs UK tour, and is slated to make his televised return at London this Wednesday evening. It has been reported that Zayns segment wont air until the December 23rd showing of NXT, but thats incidental. The point is that Sami Zayn is back and its glorious. End of story.
