Next month, Vince McMahon turns 70 years old. Given that he's ruled pro wrestling with a vise-like grip for literally 30 years, it's probably time for him to quit. There's numerous reasons why he should leave, foremost being TV's ratings dipping in a precipitous manner, but with the most important star that he positioned as the face of the industry being outed as a "little bit racist" certainly doesn't help things. Wrestling as an industry is presently wildly shifting, and if backstage news is correct, Vince McMahon is literally the only person standing in the way of progressive changes to how WWE presents its product. From veterans in NXT getting a fair shake on the main roster to older legends being positioned for one last, last, last run to WWE maybe going back to the well to soon with a star half of the crowd doesn't even actually like, Vince's time as a top wrestling mind may have passed. In examining ten moments where Vince McMahon has shown that he's dropped the ball or the company's been hit with unfathomably difficult odds, it's time that we really start considering what WWE will look like with the chairman in a MUCH reduced role.
