They can't all be like Paul Heyman.

A good manager is like wrestling putty. They can cover over the cracks in any superstar's skill set and drag them to heights they couldn't achieve on their own. Be it a well executed promo or perfectly timed piece of interference, a talented manager can truly create stars and reinvigorate floundering gimmicks.

Unfortunately, for every Paul Heyman or Bobby Heenan there is a barrel full of Harvey Wipplemans and Mini Boogeymen. Just like anything in wrestling, if something hinges on that intangible fan reaction and presentation, WWE can misfire in baffling and painful ways.

In this list we'll look at just 10 awful examples of managers doing nothing to enhance their clients and, in some cases, dragging them down.

10. Rosa Mendes

If the world of WWE was a warped mirror to nature then Rosa Mendes would be the equivalent of one of those small sucker fish that attach themselves to sharks and do nothing but exist as inconsequential parasites on the side of something more important.

Mendes has managed the likes of The Colons, Fandango, Zack Ryder, GlaMarella, and Adam Rose. Despite this list, you would be hard pressed to remember one worthwhile contribution she has made to a single match or angle. The blame is not solely on Mendes' shoulders. Although she has been proven to be poor in the ring at best, she has been perpetually cast as the "eye candy" form of manager.

With no mic skills to speak of, and a lack of ring psychology or crowd awareness, Rosa has never stayed coupled to a superstar for any length of time. Over the years it has become obvious that WWE's insistence on relaunching her with flagging wrestlers has more to do with Total Diva's recording schedule than her actual talents in wrestling.
