Since the dawn of TNA, the pro wrestling world has been talking about AJ Styles. Due to his smaller size, there were fears that the man would be stuck in the mid card for life if he signed for WWE. Even before then, Styles worked briefly for WCW before the promotion went out of business and was swallowed up by the McMahon family. It looked like he would sit nicely in the Cruiserweight and Tag-Team divisions. Launching as part of the brand spanking new TNA company in 2002, Styles instantly helped light up programming. It would have been foolish for the promotion not to push the man, and he went on to become a World Champion with the organisation. Since then, he has only added to his glowing reputation by working in Japan, becoming IWGP Heavyweight Champion. This week, reports emerged suggesting that Styles had signed with WWE. As of right now, he hasn't quite put pen to paper, but the deal looks imminent. There are even heavy rumours that AJ will work the Royal Rumble match, skipping NXT entirely. Previously, this looked like the most likely destination for him if he signed with the company. For those who aren't fully versed on the career of AJ Styles, this article offers an introduction. The idea of what he might bring to the table at WWE is also examined.
