10 Things You Didn't Know About Emma

Or should that still be Emmalina?

Reports soon came out that WWE weren't at all impressed with how the character was coming together in rehearsals, which was the reasoning behind the constant delays in her advertised debut and this subsequent shelving of her new persona.

WWE must be careful with Emma's next step, largely because a complete cancellation of the Emmalina character shows a lack of faith from the creative team in the performer and if they can't make Emma interesting again, you worry how many lives she will have left in the company.

This on-screen confusion marks the perfect time to look in-depth at Emma behind the scenes and explore her life and career. Signed by WWE in 2011, Emma has had limited success on the main roster, and has even battled through several spells down in the NXT developmental system, but was drawing attention for her performances on the independent circuit before signing...

10. She Started Training Aged Just 13

Introduced to the pro wrestling world as a bright-eyed 8-year old, Tenille Dashwood quickly developed a love for the industry that would get serious a mere 5 years later. Aged just 13 and still a child, she began training to become a professional wrestler.

That training paved the way for an incredibly interesting school life; while many of her school chums spent their spare time chilling out, the future Emma decided to throw her all into wrestling training, even working shows before she had even graduated.

In an interview with Sam Roberts, Emma claimed that she had begged her mother to drive them to training sessions, something which displayed a passion for the business to her parents.

Those feeling Emma looked young upon her FCW (WWE's old developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling) debut in 2012 could never have guessed that she had been around the industry since 2002/2003. Emma also started training under Lance Storm in 2007 - even relocating to Canada in order to properly dedicate herself to Storm's Academy.
