That chin. My word, that chin. It's a rock of ages, and in the early 80s it was one of the most famous chins in the world, as the man whom it belonged to, Sergeant Slaughter had emerged as one of the biggest icons in professional wrestling. Sarge, real name Robert Remus, has never been too far from our television screens and despite his image as a military man remaining a constant throughout his WWE tenure, he's displayed great versatility as a performer, whether as the country's number 2 babyface (just behind Hulk Hogan of course), most despised heel, as a stiff commissioner, or as a faithful legend. He's endured decades, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2004. During his time with the WWE he had many great rivals, including Bob Backlund, Pat Patterson, Hulk Hogan in the infamous Iraqi Sympathiser angle, and of course The Iron Sheik. He even spent a year feuding with DX and Austin as part of a stiff commissioner gimmick. He was one of the first cross-promotional icons in the industry, appeared in cartoons and the wrestling ring, paving the way for stars like Hulk Hogan to conquer multiple mediums. But here are a few facts that you might not have known about the world's favourite drill Sergeant. Listen up, maggots!
