10 Trades WWE & AEW Must Make In 2024

WWE stars who might go #AllElite, and AEW wrestlers who should join Triple H!

2023 saw top names like Adam 'Edge' Copeland leave WWE for AEW and Jade Cargill go the other way. It'll always make headlines when wrestlers jump from one company to another, especially because Tony Khan's outfit makes no secret over plans to rock the WWE boat.

Your thoughts on the long-term likelihood of that will vary, but everyone can agree on one thing: 2024 will have more leaps between major promotions, and nobody can wait to find out exactly who will pack up their belongings then land elsewhere.

Triple H assuming more control from Vince McMahon (and the money-spinning TKO announcement) must be catching eyes on the AEW side. Most wrestlers grew up watching WWE anyway, so appearing under that banner would be a dream. Then, as Copeland's move proved, there are workers on the opposing team who will back themselves to have some fun by becoming #AllElite.

Each company gets five picks apiece here (to keep things fair). The choices range from selfish fantasy booking thoughts to realistic trades that could happen due to contractual lapses or sheer boredom.

So, who's gonna be 'Team Trips' and 'Team Tony'?!

10. Miro To WWE

AEW has just never made the most of Miro.

Hell, the ex-Rusev had a bruising meat-slapper vs. Powerhouse Hobbs at All Out and you'd swear it never happened. Tony Khan hasn't exactly capitalised on that power-based "big man" style by featuring it prominently on TV since. In fact, Miro is right back where he started on the outskirts of the product.

That's a real shame, not least because he's excellent as a serious, powerhouse heel. Triple H would surely be able to squeeze more from Miro's current 'Redeemer' guise. Failing that, a return to the original vibes of Rusev (sans the creaking anti-US trope) could work a charm.

Miro/Rusev vs. Seth Rollins would be a hot World Title feud, for example. There'd also be scope for banging matches against everyone from Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens to Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. That has to be a sexier thought for the Bulgarian than constantly getting overlooked in AEW.
