AXS TV era kicks off with a bang with a new World Champion being crowned.
Impact Wrestling is now officially on AXS TV, and what a first night they had.
Coming into the episode, there was lots to look forward to. From the World Championship steel cage clash between Brian Cage and Sami Callihan, to the street fight between arch-rivals Ace Austin and Eddie Edwards, it was looking set to be quite the evening for Impact fans. Coming away from the episode, we now have a whole host of angles and matches to entice our appetite.
Sami Callihan is the new World Champion, with Tessa Blanchard confronting him after the match to indicate her desire to challenge for the championship. Meanwhile, Ken Shamrock was confronted by 'The King of Dong Style' Joey Ryan, Jordynne Grace cemented her status as the next in line to challenge for Jordynne Grace's Knockouts Championship, and Su Yu... sorry, Suzie made her return to our screens.
It was a pivotal night for all involved at Impact, and they knocked the ball completely out of the park with one of the best weekly episodes of the year, maybe even the best of the year. Depending on what comes next, we could be in for quite the few months.
