10 Worst Case Booking Scenarios For WrestleMania 35

KofiMania keeps running wild, but will it last until New York?

As strong as this year's WrestleMania card looks, getting too fired up for a WWE pay-per-view can be a dangerous game, particularly for those with high levels of personal investment.

Everyone should try to get excited for the show, but many are setting themselves up for a fall. Creative will never calibrate a show purely to pop their picky audience. This point is especially relevant to 'Mania 35, as organic fan movements effectively led to two of the top three programmes (KofiMania and the main event) being booked in the first place, and undesired outcomes could spark another futile #CancelWWENetwork movement.

Last year's main event proves that nothing is certain anymore. Big babyfaces will lose on this show, and fans will feel let down. String a few of these together (unlikely, admittedly), and what looked like a promising show goes to hell thanks to heightened expectations and, of course, oddball booking decisions.

Note that this piece is not an endorsement of the scenarios within. Your writer doesn't want a single one to go down, in fact, but they might, so treat this as a warning.

Let's hope Vince McMahon and his merry men don't lose their minds before 7 April...

10. Nia Jax & Tamina Win A Ladder Match

The path WWE have taken to WrestleMania 35's Women's Tag Team Title match hasn't been particularly inspiring. It's this year's "throw as many people in the ring as possible" bout, with the teased Divas of Doom versus Nia Jax and Tamina two-on-two feud expanded to include Sasha Banks and Bayley. Then came The IIconics, who defeated the champs on their maiden SmackDown voyage, and we've got ourselves a four-way.

Some have called for this bout to be turned into a ladder match.

They are insane.

Jax's track record of hurting people speaks for itself, and her partner doesn't exactly work with finesse either. Throw the green (but improving) IIconics, Sasha Banks' occasional recklessness, and a rusty Beth Phoenix into the mix, and you have a recipe for complete and utter disaster. Ladders are fun and all, but throwing them into this match sends the odds of someone getting injured through the roof.

Having the unpopular Jax and Tamina go over sentimental fan favourites Bayley and Banks would turn this into a true nightmare scenario, burying the new belts six feet deep. Imagine the reaction...
