Contrary to popular belief, not everything in WWE sucks. Sure, there are elements that do blow, but for every forced babyface bid from Roman Reigns there's that killer AJ Styles match on SmackDown or Seth Rollins showing his ex-Shield buddy how it should be done by forging an organic connection to live crowds. Those guys can do no wrong, right?

Not quite.

It hasn't always been sunshine and rainbows for WWE's best. Often, this is because the creative team try to take performers out of their comfort zone and push them to be "more entertaining". It doesn't always work. In fact, it usually falls flat and the wrestlers in question look like muppets as a result of poor booking or contrived characterisation.

Nobody is safe from this sort of thing, not even bastions of brilliance and world class pro wrestlers like Daniel Bryan or Shinsuke Nakamura. Hell, even The Miz, a man so good at talking we'd happily watch a two-hour Miz TV segment every week, has had his duff moments.

Crap, unwanted tag-teams, demonic drivel and interminable promos are just the tip of the iceberg...
