10 Wrestlers Who Should Be Number One In The 2015 Royal Rumble
The odds aren't in these Royal Rumble participants' favor from the No. 1 slot.
Every year, 30 men are given the ultimate opportunity in the Royal Rumble match. Only one can emerge victorious with a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of WrestleMania, and inevitably it's no easy feat. Only a select number of Superstars can say they've won the Rumble, and an even smaller elite can say they've won multiple. And of course that is further complicated by the fact that the Rumble is the only event of the year where almost anything is possible; who can forget Santino Marella nearly securing victory in the 2011 Royal Rumble? Simply put, it's all about the numbers and the draw: inevitably, the earlier someone enters the Rumble, the less likely it is they walk out the winner. That said, it isn't unheard of for someone to draw No. 1 or No. 2 in the Rumble and win the whole thing; Shawn Michaels, Chris Benoit and Rey Mysterio have etched their names in the record books by doing just that. Whether it happens again this year remains to be seen, but such is the tantalising draw of the event. The entry number of each participant is drawn at random, adding to the surprise element of the matchup, but WWE tends to put their biggest work horses (or whoever makes the most storyline sense) that will last the longest in the No. 1 spot. And for this year, these 10 Superstars are the most probable candidates to end up in that precarious situation.
