WWE have a dilemma on their hands. In a couple of weeks Brock Lesnar faces Seth Rollins at SummerSlam for The Universal Championship.

The trouble is neither man is a particularly appealing winner. Fans have long since lost patience with part time champ Lesnar holding the title hostage again and again.

On the other hand, the Seth Rollins experiment hasn’t been a staggering success. ‘The Architect’ has been faintly embarrassing both on and off TV.

If Vince McMahon decides not to put the belt back on Rollins, then WWE need to find a new ‘Beastslayer.’ Easier said than done.

Firstly, WWE are looking for someone who can credibly carry the belt, arguably the top prize in the company.

Secondly, the guy they choose will essentially be the face of the company. They will need to carry themselves accordingly and avoid Twitter meltdowns.

Finally, the chosen superstar needs to be able to credibly beat Brock Lesnar, WWE’s ridiculously overpowered final boss. This might be the hardest part of all.

The company have done such a good job of building up and protecting Lesnar’s aura, you really need to work hard to justify putting anyone over ‘The Beast’. No pressure then, let’s crack on with it.

10. Cesaro

It’ll never happen. Don’t even dare to dream it. Do we not know well enough by now?

Vince McMahon is never putting his biggest title on a mere superworker. Because good as Cesaro is, “we make movies, pal.” Cesaro is a superb professional wrestler but he’s never going to be McMahon’s movie star. Even if he does have James Bond inspired entrance music.

But just imagine it. ‘The Swiss Superman’ facing off against a motivated Brock Lesnar? You’re salivating at the very thought aren’t you?

Nevermind putting smiles on kiddies faces. What about plastering mile wide grins across the entire wrestling Internet?

Some superstars would need to be built up carefully to face Brock Lesnar. Booking rebalanced. Auras buffed and polished. Credentials reaffirmed.

For a huge chunk of the fan base Cesaro is good to go. They would gladly accept him as a credible threat to ‘The Beast’ because they desperately want it to be true.
