10 WWE Wrestlers Who Came Back From The Cold

Neville to get a second chance?

After allegedly storming out last month amid creative differences, Neville became the latest in a long line of wrestlers who appeared to have burned their bridges with the WWE hierarchy.

With fresh reports this week suggesting that he is about to return to the fold however, he could be set to join the slightly shorter list of wrestlers who have proven that Vince McMahon, despite his reputation as a grudge-holder, is all about giving those second chances.

Coming back from the cold is a privilege that only the very best wrestlers seem to be able to enjoy. If Heath Slater got on the wrong side of Triple H, for example, you imagine that he would be banned of coming within 100 feet of the company's Stanford headquarters.

For the most talented performers, however, butting heads with creative can actually enhance their long-term main event prospects. The chairman in particular seems to love it when one of his employees gets ideas above their station - particularly if it means the chance to have a scrap with them in the aisle of a plane.

10. Jeff Hardy

Art began imitating life in 2003 when purported backstage nuisance Jeff Hardy officially turned heel in front of the camera for the first time.

True to his out-of-ring persona, he dropped the ball after no-showing events and - apparently - refusing treatment for his substance abuse issues.A potential program alongside Shawn Michaels was nixed as a result, and within a couple of months WWE sent him packing.

It would be another three years before the 'Charismatic Enigma' found himself back in Vince McMahon's ring, during which time - thanks, it seems, to the help of TNA (perhaps coupled with a less demanding schedule) - he almost completely cleaned up his act.

Despite some initial caution, the company eventually rewarded his transformation with the main event opportunity that had eluded him the first time round. It was just two years later that he won the World Heavyweight Title at Armageddon 2008, marking the climax of a complete 180-degree turnaround.
