Alexa Bliss' assisted Sparkle Splash was pretty sweet...

Welcome back to the second edition of the article that counts down the most insane spots in professional wrestling from the past week. It's a 'Top Plays' for the wrestling world, if you will. Raw, Smackdown, NXT, Lucha Underground, Ring of Honor, and TNA Impact are scoured to come up with the moves that were most likely to get a reaction from viewing audiences. Not every company has an offering this week, but most do.

The reactions to an insane spot can vary. If the spot in particular is highly dangerous, the natural response might be to cringe. If it's insane because of the high degree of athleticism or creativity, a mixture of shock and applause might be more appropriate. There is no exact definition as to what an 'insane spot' is, but we know them when we see them.

WWE produced several entries on this week's list thanks to the impressive wrestling of Cesaro and Rusev. Kevin Owens was there as well for the first battle. There were numerous times that those guys busted out super creative moves and those are the times that make wrestling great. They worked hard to entertain. This is just one good example of two matches that are covered many times on this list.

The following 12 spots are the most insane of the past week...

12. Sheamus-Mocking RKO

Randy Orton teamed with Ryback to take on the Sheamus & Big Show this week on Monday Night Raw. It was an entertaining bout that saw The Big Guy pinning Sheamus after a top rope splash. But the way Randy Orton softened up Sheamus was worth a second look.

While Sheamus posed with his thumbs down over an injured Ryback, Orton emerged behind him and proceeded to mock the Irishman. He repeatedly did the thumbs down pose, using his body language to imply that Sheamus was some sort of doofus. He then connected with the always entertaining RKO to the delight of the crowd.

Orton faces Sheamus at Battleground and we're all crossing our fingers that it surprises.
