The Undertaker has been referred to as "the conscience of the WWE" throughout his quarter of a century with the company. Even today, with his appearances only part-time, he's still considered the honorary locker room leader. His deserving of that position is down to his history of being "one of the boys" at the same time as being close to Vince McMahon. He's on the side of the wrestlers, just as much as he's there for Vince as the boss. Both sides respect him as a voice of reason and sensibility. He's always been about doing what's right for the business. He was never worried about accumulating titles or jumping ships, instead he was focused on doing the right thing by his boss and his colleagues. That meant unwavering loyalty to the WWF in the mid 90's, when many other top stars were leaving for WCW. Given that passion for WWE and doing what is right, Taker has held the rest of the locker room to his own high standards. If someone isn't towing the WWE line, he has traditionally been the one to hold a backstage call-out. He was judge, jury and executioner in the old wrestler's court. Having heat with him was not a comfortable situation, as the following people found out.
