12 WTF Moments From WWE SmackDown (June 24)
A very good night of SmackDown action - but there's still room for a few bizarre incidents.
I know what you're thinking: only 12 WTF Moments on an episode of SmackDown, Raw's scrappy younger brother? I'm as shocked as you.
Although the Blue Brand has certainly improved in 2016 - a change catalysed by Mauro Ranallo's introduction at the beginning of the year - it is still often riddled with hilarious mishaps and infuriating errors.
This week, however, WWE absolutely nailed it. SmackDown was smooth, entertaining, and relevant. Storylines were actually progressed, and while we didn't experience the fireworks of a typical Raw, there was certainly a sense of progression.
With that being said, nothing in this world is perfect - and that means we've got a slightly more boutique selection of WTF Moments for you all.
12. The Triple Threat Is Still On!
Before SmackDown, an (incredibly) lengthy video package let everyone know the recent feud between the three members of the Shield - and yes, Roman Reigns was very much present.
WWE advertised the triple threat for Battleground, just as they had prior to Roman's suspension for violating the Wellness Policy.
This very much implies that the controversy surrounding Reigns won't be mentioned on air, and that he'll return in time for the match as though nothing happened - a decision which, in itself, must be regarded as a controversial one too.
