15 WTF Moments From WWE SmackDown (April 7)
What was with Cesaro's suit entrance?
The SmackDown after WrestleMania usually exists in a thick shadow cast by the previous Raw (as well as 'Mania itself), but this year's could prove to be one of the most influential and important in a long while.
We saw the debut of an NXT tag team, as well as the follow-up appearances of Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews - as well as the continuation of Roman Reigns' intriguing character development. Has The Big Dog strayed into genuine tweener territory now, or is he merely a slightly more selfish babyface?
There's also no getting around the fact that this week's show was very good from a wrestling standpoint. A couple of squash matches aside, the action delivered in spades - especially the main event tag match involving Styles, Cesaro, Jericho and Owens, and the grudge rematch between Zack Ryder and The Miz.
As impressive as the show was, there was still a heap of WTF material to sift through, so let's get right down to it!
15. Roman Reigns' Reaction
Reigns' crowd reaction was the subject of much speculation prior to the show, after noticeably muted crowd mics during 'Mania, and a heavily negative response on the following night's Raw.
SmackDown did see a slightly doctored crowd - as we're all used to - but an undercurrent of boos were allowed through. It looks as though WWE are willing to acknowledge that Roman isn't the squeakiest of clean babyfaces.
Then again, the only crowd shots were of those brandishing pro-Reigns signs, and he was largely treated as a face by the commentary team. Time will tell...
