The 28th annual Survivor Series is nearly upon us. After largely abandoning the concept that had, since its inception in 1987, been the foundation of its popularity, Survivor Series seems to be finally back on track thanks to the traditional Elimination-style match being the focal point of the show for the first time in nearly a decade. Enthusiasm has increased, accordingly, along with the offer of a free month for WWE Network, which gives fans double the value by providing them a high-quality platform to relive the history of their second longest running pay-per-view. A viewer's guide is, thus, in order. In the early part of the forthcoming list, please advise that choosing amongst the litany of Survivor Series Elimination matches from nearly thirty years was no easy task and, truth be told, the majority of them bring something to the table on a rainy day spent watching archived footage. Realistically, you could extract the elimination matches used to help fill numbers 11-20 and replace them with a host of other bouts of the same style. Be forewarned that recent Survivor Series cards have been so creatively unimaginative that its token elimination matches were not even considered. Instead, this list plucks from the better-hyped versions from years gone by. The top 10 much more clearly fits the theme of the column title; it is the best of the best from WWE's Fall Classic. Let's take the opportunity to build on WWEs hype for this year's edition and celebrate the very best from Survivor Series history.
