22 WTF Moments From WWE SmackDown (Oct 11)

Ellsworth is the new Face That Runs The Place...

After the huge success of SmackDown Live's first ever PPV, Backlash was it just me, or were you left more than a little bit disappointed by No Mercy?

Yes, things weren't helped by the presidential debate which forced WWE to put the WWE World Championship match on first when most eyes would see it, but the overall show felt disjointed and flat after such a big start.

Nevertheless, the match between Messrs Ambrose, Cena and Face That Still runs the place AJ Styles, plus the stunningly emotive bout between Dolph Ziggler and The Miz certainly did more than enough to keep the show's head above water. Take those two matchups out of the equation the blue brand would have been in trouble in the battle, kayfabe of course, against RAW.

While the mens' title pictures looked like rumbling on with the current combatants still going at it, the SmackDown Live Women's Championship picture looked like becoming a lot more congested on this week's show after Naomi's win over Alexa Bliss at No Mercy. Plus, and most intriguingly I might add, we have the long awaited in-ring re-debut of Curt Hawkins after he merely stepped into the ring before prompty leaving on Sunday. He did what he promised then, so we should be safe in assuming he'll do the same now.

Here are all the WTF Moments from this week's SmackDown Live...

22. Why?

#RUSEV

Needless to say I absolute approve of the message on this sign, but I still have to ask why you would bring such a sign to a SmackDown event?

First of all, Rusev is on RAW meaning there was a 0% chance he would be on last night's show, while he also looked like he was going to attempt to beat up Sasha Banks and Charlotte on Monday Night. You should hate him like the lowlife scum he showed himself to be...

Maybe the person holding the sign is lowlife scum themselves.
