24 WTF Moments From WWE Raw (Aug 8)
Wedding segments and testicles...
Two weeks removed from SummerSlam and RAW's half of the card was looking absolutely stacked heading into this week's episode, with the promise of more to come.
As well as the red brand's Brock Lesnar taking on SmackDown's Randy Orton, we had the WWE Universal Championship (lol) match between Seth Rollins and Finn Balor, the Women's Championship match between Sasha Banks and Charlotte, The Tag Team Championship bout between New Day vs. Gallows and Anderson, plus US Champ Rusev vs. Roman Reigns to look forward to. Couple those with SmackDown's stellar matches on the card and we've got one hell of a SummerSlam on our hands. See, the brand extension IS a good thing!
With nothing major announced ahead of this week's show - I will be dealing with one detail during the early parts of this article however - it looked like being another week of solid work put into the existing storylines to keep the proverbial clock ticking over to the pay per view. With that, expectations are unspectacular, shall we say, after a couple of great weeks following on from the brand extension.
You didn't expect RAW to be knocked out of the park every week now did you?
Here are all the WTF Moments for this week's WWE RAW, a RAW that included a wedding segment which provided many moments of WTFery.
20. New Era...
Yes! We're beating this dead old horse with that same knackered old stick... or whatever that saying I'm trying to convey to you actually is...
After their rivalry was started by nothing more than a couple of choice words during a backstage promo, Sheamus and Cesaro were at it again with General Manager Mick Foley lusting after physical dominance from each man. This is just trying to patch over what is another feud that is just another one of those cut from the same cloth as Ziggler/Owens and Ziggler/Corbin; rivalries that are nothing more than an endless string of matches with no stories being told.
It's a rivalry that started over nothing, and I bet it ends in pretty much the same fashion on the SummerSlam pre-show. New Era, same old sh*t.
