35 WTF Moments From WWE Battleground 2016

Bob's troublesome braces...

So here we are, the final pay per view before WWE's roster go their separate ways. However, for me at least, the brand extension wasn't the basis on which Battleground was centred. The main selling point of this event was the mega Shield Triple Threat that we've been wanting to see for over two years now, featuring WWE Champion Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and the returning Roman Reigns.

As well as slugging out one of our main fantasies, the trio would be fighting for their respective brands. Rollins and Reigns would be fighting for RAW in the battle for the WWE Championship's new home, while Ambrose would be hoping to keep it and take it to SmackDown with him.

You don't need me to tell you that this card was stacked, with eight matches in total all meaning something. Well, maybe Natalya vs. Becky Lynch came in off a weak build but the rest of the card looked compelling.

Randy Orton's return to WWE was the other main issue stirring the WWE Universe up into a frenzy. With The Viper's return only going as far as an appearance on Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel, would he mention his SummerSlam opponent Brock Lesnar's violations, or would be leave them be? That's all you're interested in. Be honest now.

With over 4 hours and 15 minutes worth of content to cover there was sure to be a few WTF Moments, so here they are...

35. Let's Get Them Out Of The Way Early...

So many WhatCulture signs at WWE Battleground that they are a WTF Moment in themselves. We had everything from your traditional 'Adam For Creative' to me being better than Jerry Lawler, and the pièce de résistance in the bottom right corner there... that's right. IT'S JOHN O'CLOCK MOTHERF*****S!

We even had one pop up during the promo package for Enzo, Cass and John Cena vs. The Club which means our relationship with Kevin Dunn has improved greatly. Once upon a time, one of our signs was edited out of a RAW photo gallery on WWE.com... we don't forget.

Keep them coming though people. We appreciate them greatly.
