4 Ups And Downs From Last Night's WWE Smackdown (Mar 5)
A divas match actually got more than three minutes? Yes!
The trend of Smackdown being the "B" show continued this week as the focus centered around the Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania. Focusing on a midcard title is so rare in WWE these days that it can be seen as a positive in that sense, but it also makes Smackdown less of a "must see" show.

WrestleMania season has been different this year because three of the top matches at the event have been difficult to promote. With The Undertaker, Sting and Brock Lesnar not appearing regularly it means that people are out there cutting promos to try to get fans excited about these three top matches yet there's no response and that means very little interest in the storylines. Watching Smackdown week after week tells us that none of those guys have any chance of appearing on this show unless it's in some video recap that reviews their non-appearance from Monday. It really shouldn't be this way in WWE during WrestleMania season, but that's how it is. That's the problem with this show. Fans aren't going to feel the need to tune in because they know the bigger stars are staying away. WWE gets paid millions to produce this show, yet they aren't putting on a good enough show week after week. The results from the show were as follows: Kidd & Cesaro d. Los Matadores, Ryback d. Kane, Big Show d. Ryback, AJ Lee d. Brie Bella, Big E/Kofi d. Miz/Mizdow, Rusev d. Swagger and Ziggler/Ambrose d. Barrett/Harper. Here are four ups and four downs from this week's show.
