I'll start at the end this week. This was a very weird episode of NXT.

Not in the sense that anything that happened was weird, more in the sense that from (just after the) start to finish, everything about this episode was aggressively fine. Seemingly every match, segment, and promo, just about managed to do more right than it did wrong, tipping itself snugly into the Up category of our patented grading system.

I raise this purely because I don't want you to look at the headline here and expect a brilliant show. There are brilliant parts of it, don't get me wrong, but the overall flavour of this particular Nando's chicken wrap is mild. Don't complain later on that nothing set your tastebuds on fire, you're getting well fed here and little else.

That Being Said, Though there are some juicy nuggets for those of you craving decadence in your pro-wrestling. Johnny Gargano beings what will surely be a long series of North American open challenges, and they gave Pat McAfee a microphone. You'd all happily watch two hours of that alone, but there's also some pro-wrestling to enjoy while you're here. Just about, anyway.
