The final Raw before WrestleMania truly is a hit-or-miss episode most years. If there is a storyline that hasn’t quite hit its peak yet, we might get a major revelation or a significant development. But if all has moved along well previously, then that Raw could be bland, boring and totally skippable.

Monday night’s episode fell somewhere in the middle of that. You really didn’t miss too much if you didn’t tune in, but there were a couple of flashes of entertainment. Overall though, Raw didn’t really break new ground and merely served as a three-hour commercial for WrestleMania XXXIII (which it really should have been) and mostly a plug for Triple H/Seth Rollins (which it really shouldn’t have been).

We saw that part-timers were on display Monday night, with Triple H, Undertaker, Brock Lesnar and Goldberg all getting spotlight time for their respective Mania matches. We also saw Cruiserweights Neville and Austin Aries shine as their feud reached its peak.

We saw Roman Reigns’ cocky side with no indication that the writers or Roman are self-aware that he’s the heel in this feud. We saw a good chunk of the roster look like bowling pins for Big Show to knock down. And we saw Sami Zayn stand up for himself against perpetual villainess Stephanie McMahon.

So how did the last Raw on the Road to WrestleMania fare?
